7.0/10

My stay at Hotel De Paris in Montreal was enjoyable, largely due to its charming character and excellent location. The building, with its French-style architecture, has a lovely ambiance, but I did find the lack of elevators and steep stairs a bit challenging, especially with heavy luggage. The breakfast options were satisfying and the staff were incredibly welcoming, which enhanced my experience overall.

Rooms
7.0
My room was quite small, but it had a cozy arrangement. I noted some dated features and a noisy view of construction, yet it was clean and comfortable enough for my needs.
Service
8.0
The staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating, with a special shout out to Alan, who was notably helpful during my stay.
Location
8.0
The location was fantastic, with easy access to Sherbrooke metro station and within walking distance to great cafes, restaurants, and the Old Montreal area.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast was a nice European style buffet, though the coffee could have been better. Overall, it was a pleasant way to start the day.
Facilities
6.0
The absence of an elevator was a downside, and parking was limited and somewhat of a hassle, but overall the facilities were adequate for a boutique hotel.

6.0/10

During my stay at Hotel De Paris, I experienced both highlights and lowlights. The location was superb for exploring Montreal, and the staff were friendly and efficient. However, the room I received was disappointing, didn't meet my expectations, and some requests were overlooked. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

Rooms
5.0
I was assigned a very small room that was not what I had reserved, and it lacked basic amenities like a closet and a mini-bar. The cleanliness also left much to be desired, with hair and other signs of neglect evident during my stay.
Service
5.0
The staff were generally kind and helpful, but I encountered issues with responsiveness, especially when specific requests went unaddressed. The manager was somewhat evasive about my original reservation.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is excellent, allowing easy access to various attractions and dining options. I enjoyed being close to vibrant streets and parks, making my exploration of the area convenient and enjoyable.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was just okay, and it would have been nice to enjoy a better selection particularly given Montreal's famed culinary scene. The Grab & Go option felt limited in comparison to what I expected.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel did not have an elevator, and I faced significant challenges carrying my luggage upstairs. Additionally, the room lacked a fridge and some basic conveniences.

6.8/10

I found my stay at Hotel De Paris Montreal to be quite mixed. The rooms were cozy but on the smaller side, making it a bit cramped for my group of six. I appreciated the friendly staff and the location's proximity to downtown, but the lack of amenities in the annex was a downside. Overall, it met my basic needs but had some shortcomings. 🌟

Rooms
6.0
My room in the annex was tiny and often felt overcrowded, especially with six of us sharing the space. There was no elevator, which made moving around a bit tricky. However, I did appreciate having a private bathroom.
Service
7.0
The staff was generally friendly and helpful. They were accommodating with our requests, especially in finding a room that avoided extra stairs. However, I did have one encounter that was less than welcoming.
Location
8.0
The hotel is conveniently located, just a short walk from the metro and close to various restaurants. It’s a nice area, although the walk to the Port was a bit longer than I expected.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast options were simple and somewhat limited. I found it adequate, but with so many dining possibilities in Montreal, it could have been better.
Facilities
6.0
I appreciated the free WiFi and parking options, but the amenities were lacking, especially since I stayed in the annex which didn’t offer the same features as the main hotel.

5.6/10

I had a mixed experience at Hotel De Paris in Montreal. The location is fantastic, close to transit and a vibrant area, but the hotel features some quirks like lots of stairs and a lack of elevator service which can be a hassle. On the plus side, the staff was mostly very friendly and the room I stayed in was charming, but there were some issues with noise and cleanliness that really detracted from my stay.

Rooms
6.0
My room was clean and spacious, but not large enough for two people comfortably. Overnight noise was a bit much, and my privacy felt compromised due to a broken lock.
Service
5.0
Some staff were awesome and super helpful, but I encountered one rude front desk employee who was unhelpful. This inconsistency in service was frustrating.
Location
8.0
The hotel is situated in a great neighborhood, really close to food options and public transport, making it easy to explore the area. The access to key spots was a huge plus.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was decent, served in a lovely little Thai restaurant that doubles as a dinner spot. However, you have to manage expectations since the hotel dining options were limited after breakfast hours.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel has some charming features, but the lack of an elevator and a complicated parking situation were drawbacks. The WiFi worked well, and there were nice common areas.

7.4/10

I had mixed feelings about my stay at Hotel De Paris. The charm of the historic building and its friendly staff made for a welcoming atmosphere, but the lack of an elevator and the size of my room were quite challenging. The breakfast was a highlight, though I couldn't overlook some maintenance and cleanliness issues.

Rooms
5.0
My room felt quite small and claustrophobic, with a bathroom that didn't meet cleanliness standards. The bed was outdated and uncomfortable, making sleep difficult during my stay.
Service
7.0
The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, though I did encounter one particularly aggressive front desk employee. Despite this, most interactions were positive.
Location
8.0
The location was excellent, within walking distance to many attractions and close to the metro, but accessing the hotel involved multiple flights of stairs which could be problematic for some guests.
Dining
7.0
I really enjoyed the breakfast. there was a good variety of tasty options that filled me up for the day ahead, though the dining area was not as clean as it should be.
Facilities
5.0
I found the lack of an elevator quite inconvenient, especially with the many stairs involved, and the parking situation was frustrating as well.
